    Pros +

    • Location was good, yet a long way off Jalan Kartika Plaza, 100+ meters. The entry and reception area is impressive architecture, as are the public areas, with a nice pool area, but which I didn't use.The restaurant area is spacious, not crowded with tables and chairs, and surrounding gardens very relaxing, with water features, and paving weaving through the gardens to the rooms. The room was comfortable, bed and pillows good, aircon efficient, with a small fridge.Breakfast was outstanding, 10 choices, local and western, plus a bottomless coffee/tea, fruit and juices.Safe luggage storage facilities are available, of which I availed myself, staying twice, ten days apart.
    • pool is great, buildings are well designed and visually pleasant. breakfast was delicious and convenient, good coffee. great staff.
    • Good food, good value. Nice pool. Comfortable bed.

    Cons -

    • WiFi was terrible, with frequent drop outs, and I had to go to reception whenever I needed a reliable connection for more than a minute or two. There were no coffee/tea making facilities.
    • bathroom could use a refurbishment.
    • It's not that close to the beach.

I had to find somewhere new to stay and literally booked a couple of hours before I arrived. It probably would not be my first choice ordinarily but I am grateful that Japun is where I landed. The staff are terrific here, really very nice and friendly. Breakfast is a la carte with drinks and fruit in a buffet. Had two Indonesian meals in the restaurant which were great. Loved the beer fridge in reception, very handy! I found that a lot of the guests were long term repeat customers staying for several weeks every year and they were nice and friendly too. The grounds of this hotel are superb, the gentleman who looks after them is a credit to the hotel. Very quiet being set back from the main road. Great location. Great price.

The rooms are very dated and tired, really need a renovation but at the price they are charging it's still good value for money. If I stay again I would definitely try and get a ground floor room as I found my balcony on the first floor too hot and sunny to use until late afternoon.

    Convenient location! Affordable!

Our rooms toilet was leaky, the shower didn’t drain, the bed wasn’t too comfy

Pool, Location, Room - save for some minor adjustments we'd like to see. General ambience and distance from road noise great. Service great and staff exceptionally friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast. Pool area and sheltered table and chairs area very enjoyable.

No in room kettle or cups for tea/coffee. Some windows need extra cover for sunlight entering too early for holiday makers. Bed ok but not great - falling to one side. No shelves to put your toiletries in bathroom - so much space not capitalized. No hot water at basin for men's shaving and ladies make up etc. TV Channels not good.

The room was basic but comfortable, I liked the private balcony and the air con worked well. The pool was just lovely and the garden and grounds very well kept. I had the best breakfasts here, good standard. A little oasis nice and quiet back of the busy street. Towels provided for the pool was good too. I recommend this hotel.

The stairs were a bit much for me with a bad knee. I didn't realise there would be so many. Next time I would request a ground floor room. I thought we were booking a room like the one in the promo photo with the lovely ceiling but alas no. No sheet provided for the bed just a duvet which I find disappointing in a hot country. I don't need a duvet, just a sheet.

I stayed in a deluxe room that exuded cleanliness and comfort, making it effortlessly easy to unwind. The tranquil atmosphere, complemented by lush greenery throughout the property, reminded the warmth and serenity of home. What truly elevated the experience was the staff’s impeccable hospitality. The location couldn’t be more ideal: nestled within walking distance of delightful eateries, soothing spas, and other local gems, making exploration both convenient and enjoyable. I left with a sense of contentment and a wish to return.

During the latter part of my stay, I was relocated to a Standard room due to limited availability. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the comfort of my earlier accommodation. The room layout felt rather disjointed, as if the furniture had been hastily arranged without thoughtful spatial planning. The space felt cramped, and the room’s design made it difficult to utilize even the available area effectively. The bathroom lacked functional amenities—a proper holder for toiletries was missing, making everyday use inconvenient. In addition, the WiFi connection in the Standard room was noticeably sluggish. While I appreciate the hotel’s efforts to accommodate me, this part of my stay fell short of expectations. It’s worth considering an upgrade if room comfort and practical design are priorities for you.

Jepun Hotel is a cozy, no-fuss oasis tucked in a quiet corner of Bali that offers incredible value and authentic charm. The lush garden setting, traditional Balinese architecture, and peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a true home away from home. The rooms are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out—many with balconies overlooking the pool or garden. The staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready with a smile or a local tip to enhance your stay. It’s the perfect base if you're exploring on a budget but still want comfort, character, and easy access to Bali’s cultural highlights. A relaxing and down-to-earth stay that captures the spirit of Bali beautifully.

It was so much more than I expected for the price. The rooms were lovely and very clean, AC was perfect after a day in heat, internet was very fast, the staff were great and the greenery around the hotel was so picturesque, the fish in all the water features and the cute local kitty cat, Manis was a nice touch. Pool is lovely, breakfast is great. For the amount we paid, we weren’t expecting much, but the rooms were serviced daily, staff were very kind, shuttle from airport and held our bags after checkout so we could explore without lugging luggage. Location is great, 5min walk to Kuta Square, 3min walk to Discovery Mall and Waterbom, 10min walk to Beachwalk Mall. Loads of western food restaurants minutes away. Nice and close to everything but also far enough away from all the noise. Located down a long road away from the main road. Our driver waited 3hrs at the airport out in the Bali heat when we got delayed and I couldn’t thank him enough. Overall, very great experience!!

This was my third time staying at Jepun Bali Hotel, and it was just as great as before. The staff, who run this as a family business, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel has a beautiful pool, and despite being in the heart of Kuta, it’s very peaceful since it’s located on a dead-end street.I always love coming back here and will definitely return again!

The pool was nice, the breakfast was good. The rooms were big enough and clean.

The surroundings of the hotel wasn't the best I've seen :-)

Room was good after we changed room after check in due to an early arrival

Breakfast items seem to change daily in the set menu items which was strange

    Friendly staff, comfortable beds…

some rooms a bit tired and need a spruce up especially the bathrooms

    8PeterPosted on: 2-11-2025

Great location, nice pool area, good value for money.

Our room needed a deep clean, AC was discharging water inside the room, which made the polished tiles a serious slipping hazard.

Clean , central, relaxing , good breakfast, and amazing staff !!

    9JamesPosted on: 2-4-2025

The breakfast were of sufficient quantity and of great quality and variety. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Congratulations to the Garden maintenance staff who have done a wonderful job of the gardens and the swimming pool

The Underside to the toilet seat was quite stained and unhygienic. Good bleach with a scouring pad would hopefully clean this up. Room D2 I was actually quite disappointed with the condition of this toilet seat.
